No I do not know that. Educate me.

Bingo! "IF ABLE" are the operative words!

With semi-automatic weapons or even single shot weapons, no one has an opportunity to react. Firearms are immediate and final.

I want to remove the one chance of someone being killed by a firearm.
The archetypical anti-gun nut, with no legit answers.

    You don't want edumacated.

Most dangers are capable of being neutered, especially if one is armed.

Few are completely/truly surprised by crazed individuals, they freeze and/or panic, mainly because they don't think of the right things to do, usually because they are unarmed and at the killer's mercy.

I support your desire, even as impossible as it may be. Meanwhile, don't make more innocents dead by insisting on taking away protection.

Support life and the protection of it!

US Child Gun Deaths Rose 60% in 10 Years

This is a shocking statistic! I guess all those dead children should have been packing heat. Only a depraved gun nut would make such a claim.

Or maybe the slain kids IF they had such a voice, and maybe their loved ones would have also preferred an option to them merely being another unarmed victim.
Life is better than the alternative and everybody should have the choice/chance to protect themselves, no matter what some others would like to impose.

Police in Terrell, a town 30 miles east of Dallas, said a shooting rampage over several hours left at least five people dead.

YEEHAW!!!!!!!! Texas obviously does not have enough guns to prevent this type of tragedy. You think more guns is going to prevent this? Gun nuts!

Absolutely! They do this because they know few are willing and able to stop them.

Six people were shot to death inside a South Carolina home on Tuesday night, CNN reported.

South Carolina like Texas has a very high rate of personal gun ownership. But according to the gun nuts the ownership rate should be even higher to prevent the tragedies reported above. What is puzzling is that states that have low rates of personal gun ownership do not experience this type of violence on this scale. Hmmmmmmm!

Sure makes you glad the NRA has stood up for absolute Second Amendment rights and that our brave heroic congress has abetted them. Yet...the damn guns are out there, even with background checks, the best in the world, a nut case who is determined to get an assault weapon, will. And I really don't see any way to get those guns out of the population. Open to suggestions, of course. Sending armed federal agents about to search & confiscate would be exactly what the gun nuts have feared and predicted for years; it might be a self fulfilling prophecy some day, and it would make Ruby Ridge & Waco look like tea parties. Not before the gunman shot several people. He was able to do this in the midst of many, many armed personnel. And the armed personnel were not gun toting gun nut private citizens but properly trained law enforcement who could not prevent this tragedy, even with all their guns.

My psychologist daughter is here in fale right now and we are talking about the incident at LAX yesterday. She lives somewhat near LAX.

I just asked her why gun nut men commit these tragedies and not gun nut women, who also may have mental issues. She said that question has never been answered and needs further research. Her best guess is that it is partly biological and partly socialization. American males are socialized from an early age that guns are a "manly" pursuit. She said that American men are generally more aggressive, more violent, and more insecure. She said, consequently, that American men are less capable of handling a firearm than men or women in other cultures and backgrounds. She and her psychiatrist partner don't have a gun in their fale, they have a 60 pound Red Lab (also visiting today) who is very sweet until there is a stranger in his yard and his house. Then he becomes very noisy and very disagreeable!

He was armed and ready to kill at least 100 yet was taken down asap by those with guns. How many could have been saved had others been armed and ready to save? This tragedy was limited in scope and ability by armed personel, not magnified by non-armed/trained civilians as some like to point out.

Oh, you mean like NY and DC? Places with strict gun laws still have high firearm death rates - no solution.

And you seem to have your blinders on regarding LA. If armed personnel were not present to take down the perp, many more people would have been killed.

Looks like his main complaint was against the TSA.
