  • Our mountains are dissolving?

    http://news.byu.edu/archive12-dec-oahu.aspx

Someday, Oahu’s Koolau and Waianae mountains will be reduced to nothing more than a flat, low-lying island like Midway.
But erosion isn’t the biggest culprit. Instead, scientists say, the mountains of Oahu are actually dissolving from within.

    very interesting...
Life is either an adventure... or you're not doing it right!!!

Yes, interesting. But I doubt any of us here in the Second Mayan Long Calendar will be around to notice.

That's what they said about melting ice caps and rising sea levals, just to mention 2 things that are about to bite us in the ass...

I hope we can make mountains out of molehills.

As noted before, the Honolulu neighborhood , Mo ili ili , has been gradually

sinking into caverns eroded into the karst layer of ground strata.

this process will take some time, so continue having a good time.

Will the Honolulu New Year include some Nice Parties ?
