  • Large Housing Group ousts all poor Folk

In a move that is very greedy one of the largest corps in America booted out all those on section 8.

Before you remark that all those folks were on crack, let me emphasise that every family affected in my development is disabled by accident or birth.

I am coming to despise those folks who own apt complexes and treat long term residents like dirt.

    Remember this well.

    What goes around comes around.

Some of the brave soldiers who fought for America in Iraq and
Trashcanistan are among those being tossed into the street
    by these bandits.

I can't mention the name or a hefty lawsuit would ensue.

It's "Business" as usual, as ever. Stated intentions are as capable as 'good intentions,' i.e., worthless. I'm sorry to say this is no surprise.

All I can say is: "Keep fighting the good fight." We fought FOR our country, then we have to fight our country for to have them keep their promises. It's nothing new. WWII, Korea, Vietnam veterans all had to fight for our entitlements, so will everyone else.

If it is true, then there would not be a basis for a lawsuit. Or give a link to an article .... ?
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.

If it's provably true, he'd win a lawsuit, presumably, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be a lawsuit. Better than winning a lawsuit is not being sued.

So it begins. Back to the feudal system. King Obama, Nobles, craftspersons and serfs.

            ...

            And outlaws.

              Howdy all.

I myself will be leaving the complex in protest.

The owners don't know this and I will keep a low profile until I am out of here.

The only article on this is what the reader is seeing here.

I am voting with my wallet, so to speak.

My next door neighbor is blind and being booted also.

After emerging from this place ,perhaps a few telephone calls to local TV stations will be made.

In the meantime I have my own life to live

A recent inquiry with the state authorities revealed that the owners are laggard at keeping up with repairs, etc.

I have nothing against decent landlords, but that respect vanishes

when these feudal princes start dumping the blind into the street.

I can understand your wanting to choose the timing that is best for you, please keep us updated when you later "bust loose with the story for investigation".

Or, have a third party come in now to help out the cause, and maybe prevent the eviction of someone who does not deserve it, someone who will have a harder time than you are going to have with relocating.

Amati , I am reading very carefully your advice.

I am just very overwhelmed by this situation.

Re: Large Housing Group ousts all poor Folk

Amati, I talked with my financial advisor today.

He was an apt manager for 6 years and had a lot of helpful advice.

My next door neighbor has a daughter in this complex who has a severely

disabled child (anoxia at birth, blue baby syndrome).

                      She is also being booted!

I have familial closeness with these folks.

I have the cash needed to hold off the wolves until we emerge

                      in a better place.

My initial urge was to lash out, but under these circumstances

that would be like Don Quixote tilting at windmills.

Thankyou for your kind words of support.

                      I will update.

                      Best Regards

I'm not sure what I will find out investigating this travesty.

I have no intention of becoming a martyr.

The apt owners have already volunteered for that position.

Are the folks in a Section 8 or similar program? I've read that there is an initial one year minimum lease requirement by the owner. After that, I'm wondering if it could just be month-to-month, and that the owner can withdraw their Section 8 participation as long as they allow any current program recipients to live out their leases.

Is the housing complex discontinuing their rent subsidy program participation with the Fed or State, and thus all the program recipients need to find other lodging that accepts the program funding?
