I still have the banana album with rather exotic songs like "Heroin", "Waitin For My Man" and two Nico numbers. Jarring NYC rock, the polar opposite of my Hawaiian mood and not California either. The hippest guy I knew in college played it daily.

It would have been perfect timing for me to have stumbled upon them, but who knew?

I actually heard "Heroin" played on radio once. Kind of a shock. That would have been the 70's, seems very doubtful it would get air play today.
