  • one man outrigger / beginner paddler

After just a few trys on vacation on Kauai, I finally got a boat here to use on the mainland. First time by myself here I felt really uneasy. I had a good bit of small chop on the ama side and it sure made me feel unsteady!
I thing I was a good bit tense too and being out of shape didn't help. But my cohart urged me to take it easy so I am looking forward to the next warm day we get here to give it another try. Right now the boat is racking up more milage on the truck than on a lake!

    Any encouragement would be appreciated!

Well for now I put the canoe back in the storage unit. Just too cold here lately to paddle and get wet! Some do it with wet suits even in places like Maine but I am not limber enough to brave the chill! Locally lows here are around freezing.

Yes the ole hibuscus by the front door has been taking it on the chin lately even with the cover I have used over it! It was a local purchase anyway...
