Been trying to watch the 1960's series 12 O'Clock High on the H&I network which airs on Saturday night during their War Heroes block. I missed a couple of episodes out of the 78 episode run, however it just restarted the sequence last night (6/7/21).
One thing I have noticed over other World War II based TV series, 12 O'Clock High tends to some what put nods to actual events during World War II. For instance during the first season there is a shot of desk calendar that shows June 15, 1942 (I think it was the 15th but it could be somewhere close to it) which would be a week after the Battle of Midway, even through it was never mentioned in the episode.
There are a couple of episodes in the 3rd season that mentions the allied landings at Normandy (June 6, 1944) and the plot to kill Hitler (July 1945) that the series star Paul Burke who plays Colonel Joe Gallagher finds himself in the middle of said events.
