The bumper stickers, decals, etc. that I cannot tolerate, are the ones with offensive language, either spelled accurately or spelled "on the sly" for all to see.
How about the Jeep that parks just down the road from me with the license plate STFU?
I guess the folks down at DMV hadn't heard of that one when he applied for it.

What, did they think it was St. Louis Federal (Credit) Union?
Did the rocket-scientist behind the counter not realize - or fail to FULLY realize -- that STFU was/is patently offensive -- or did the applicant have initials in their name to back up such plates -- or did the county employee/software just not know/care?
So many questions, so little civility/propriety left in this world ...

I know a lot less than what there is to be known.

No idea. You probably know more about the DMV then I do. I doubt if they require everyone to explain the meaning of their license plate application. As long as they don't recognize it as something offensive, it passes.
The real question is, if this is brought to their attention, what will they do? Can/will they recall it?
When I was in the military (did I mention this before?) this guy had a plate that said, "FTAF". Our squadron commander made him remove it from his vehicle because he thought it said, "Fuck The Air Force".
The Airman told the Major, "Sir it means: Fly The American Flag". He got to keep it on his car.
Life is what you make of it...so please read the instructions carefully.
The ones that have been surfacing about panties, or pantehs...quite annoying and a reflection of insecurities.
But, OFF TOPIC a bit...has anyone seen the "bull's balls" hanging beneath the trucks? I haven't seen it here on Oahu, but I did while I lived on the Big Island.
