Life is either an adventure... or you're not doing it right!!!
Pua Lilia, when sung by the Cazimeros, can make me cry on the spot. It can be either stalkingly erotic or gut-rippingly forlorn. And both their original version w/Sunday Manoa or their recent "Some call it aloha" version offers that same pull. Perfect for weddings and funerals, I tell ya.Originally Posted by Menehune Man

(through out our lives) knows no time!!.
C&K's "ELUA" was, and remains, an amazing accomplishment in american music...and it continues to dwarf anything anyone in "Island Music" has done since "ELUA" was made...imho...
Kawika- Sunday Manoa
The Devil is a Liar- Seawind
Gabby Pahinui's "Hi`ilawe"
John Cruz's "Island Style"
I gotta echo Albert's praise for Gabby's "Hi`ilawe," with honorable mention to Ho`okena's "Ulili`e," which is great no matter who's doing it. Third place goes to Ka`au Crater Boys' version of "Kawika." Yes, I know everyone likes others' recordings of it better, but this one just rocks.
For non-Hawaiian, I'll take the Fabulous Krush's "Waialua Sky," followed by C&K's "About You" and Led Ka`apana's "Maunaloa Slack Key."
But I'm disturbed! I'm depressed! I'm inadequate! I GOT IT ALL! (George Costanza)
