That was short at Ala Moana. As why it was called a pop up shop.

Yacchaba on Kapiolani closed last week: https://www.instagram.com/p/B5ooGkKjSrS/
Before that was Izakaya Mai, Ojiya, and some Chinese restaurant way before that. Only lasted a few years.
Bad luck, limited parking... Hope another izakaya opens in its place.

Going to miss the place... the hamburger steak, fried rice, pancakes, waffles, etc... but most of all the sign, which I have plenty of photos of. Sad.
I'm still here. Are you?

Re: Disappearing eating establishments
Me and my friends did a lot of pau hanas on the fifth floor pool bar at Hawaii Prince Hotel. It was fun to get treated like tourist royalty, watch the sun set over Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, then sometimes stumble around the corner to Charthouse. Hooboy that place was like a bad dive bar, felt dangerous just walking in the place, but I'll always miss it for the good times there. After a really late night the only place open was Denny's in Waikiki, that was 24 hours, so despite the crappy mainland ambiance the place served as a fun fueling and departure point. 3 in the morning, pull of pancakes, time to go home.
