Nope. That's one of the few sites I never visited. (I go on a lot of forums and I collect smilies)

And welcome diane! (now, how many well known people stay here in the forums?)
How'd I get so white and nerdy?

                  Re: Diane Ako's big....

Time to try to prove my point about the lovely, good humored Diane Ako. The point of my original post was that the amount of cleavage shown depended on whether it was a K5 or KHNL broadcast. Of course I prefer K5's: Now with 20% more cleavage each newscast Anyway.... here is a link to some screencaps from last night (sorry, my dvr isn't high quality) which I believe shows the "one-button" rule.

                    Re: Diane Ako's big....

I get the impression that the KFVE News is supposed to be something of a cross between "hard news" and "tabloid trash"... besides the references to Ms. Ako's appearance, it is perhaps the fact that the 9 o clock news frequently covers the kind of enterainment / Hollywood gossip news items that I see on programs like Inside Edition. Could this be the reason why? The lighter news content vs. "hard news" on KHNL?

It would seem that the KFVE News is doing well enough in the ratings to keep its place at the 9pm timeslot. It's been on now for more than a year.
                    I'm still here. Are you?

I flipped the news on tonight (12-16) when I arrived home and for some reason wanted to send Diane some Holiday cheer. Sorry the attached isn't of better quality. Thanks Ms. Ako!

since someone went and dug this thread up...

Real Simple 11/06 has a wonderful article on recording family history. Diane provided a lovely interview of her archiving footage of her parents and kupuna. Good job, Diane! As family history is a personal passion of mine, I am always looking at how other people handle their precious ephemera. I found that article very interesting.

Thank you! I get teased by friends for being too "anal" about documenting events and histories. (At least I know I'm truly suited for my line of work.) But I do enjoy looking at that old footage now and then.
