Hello, this is my first post here.
I'm a kama'aina transplant, planning to visit home next month for about 9 days. We've got most of what we want to eat mapped out, but I have a couple of categories unanswered:
1) Hawaiian plate lunch. Kalua pig, lau lau, lomi salmon, poi, squid luau, you know da kine. Wheah fo' get da bes'?
2) Chinese cake noodle. Pan-fried noodles, crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside, cut into squares and smothered with meat, seafood, veggies, and lots of brown sauce. Was thinking McCully Chop Suey but do you know someplace better?
We will have a car, but preference is for someplace between Chinatown and Kahala (unless it's so ono, you gotta make the drive!)
