                Re: The Slippah Project 2008!

Sadly, our beautiful burgandy tent collasped this morning. PK said it's ok, we'll buy onnada one when we can. The good news is the tarp is covering the boxes.

Last night, Deedee of Child and Family Service, Healthy Start Waianae came to pick up Slippahs for her Agency and for the Ewa Beach Agency too. Total 140. Their story is a funny one.

The worker from Ewa Beach emailed me.
"Hi Lynn got this from Linda, Yes I work for child and family service and go and visit children that need slippas. Sooooooooooooooooooo how do I get the slippas to my kids I service. Mahalo."

I cracked up laughing as it touched my heart. So juss like me. And I assumed "Linda" was Tita Lika!

Their Christmas Party is tomorrow night.

                Love and ALOHA,

                Auntie Lynn

Mahalo to Marcus Shimomi, owner of Hawaii Footwear Promotions for donating 90 pairs of "Slippahs." Stephanie drove in the wind and rain to deliver two big boxes right to my front door!

On Facebook, I started a Slippah Foundation Cause. It has grown to fifty members. http://apps.facebook.com/causes/view...307&m=2bb70939

The only entertainer who supported The Slippah Project is Mr. Rolando Sanchez. He wanted to perform for a Fundraiser. I told him next year.

And from HT, LikaNui and TurtleGirl ~ Mahalo!!
