This one is by far my favorite; "AWESOME!!!" from DS. These were the only pics that pulled him off the NintendoDS.

We were at Mokuleia today, but your beach was prettier!!

            Good stuff, Jim!

Sandys is a real neck breaker on days like that, and bigger.

For the rocks shots on the east side, we stood right where you must have been, I have almost the same shots, lol.

These are perfect candidates for LAB mode. You should try using LAB color mode in PS to make these pop.

Yeah LightRoom works with all the latest RAW formats including Nikon. You're using the D80 right?

More, from the Capitol Building. This is from a bust, the left side shows Abe with a smirk, and playfulness while the left has a sad look, representing the times before during and after the civil war. He is missing an ear, representing his assassination, and the bust was not finished, representing his unfinished life.

Juxtapozed against historic Aloha Tower and Pier's 10 & 11, it's a priceless and timeless pictorial.

Great shots Tattrat. The light on the whitehouse is excellent.

I went down and strolled around the Aloha Festival earlier tonight. Only took a few shots. Started at iso 800, then went up to the highest the camera is capable of (probably around 3200 or 6400). So, the shots were pretty grainy and have been significantly smoothed.

Fantastic shots Jim. I especially like the first two you posted.

Amazingly, I live in Waikiki and managed to completely forget about the Aloha festival, although by the look of that crowd it's probably a good thing I didn't go. (I don't do well in crowds.. mosh pits are a different story.)

Here she is at Pier 10, where cruise ships usually tie up:

And here she is coming in at Aloha Tower, just turning in to Pier 10:

She just came in from Tahiti, and leaves for the west coast on Monday.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Oh Jim, just 3200 or 6400 ISO, that's all. Sheesh, you deserve a better DSLR than that! lol

As always, you and Tatt continue to publish the most amazing shots yet! I mean, wow, you can even see the sweat beading from the Hula dancer's forehead!

Also dig the angle you took of the formation at China Walls.

And those Sandy Beach bodyboarding shots really should be published in a surf magazine. Or Hawaii lifestyle magazine. Just incredible.

Tatt, diggin' all the U.S. Capitol shots. Very nice.

Likanui, when I first seen the Maltese Falcon docked at Pier 11, I just couldn't get over the design. The relation of those gargantuan masts to the hull is literally and figuratively OVER THE TOP. That yacht makes a statement more than any I've seen yet. Even over so than the recent visit of Microsoft co-founder, Paul Allen's "Octopus" when moved to that same pier landing.
