I am thinking this will not work.
Test, something to do with quotes and spoiler tags.

I think I got it. If a message has a quote tag in it, the text in the spoiler will not work and it give an "error on page" on the browser status line (this is assuming one is running Internet Explorer V6).

What happens if you put the spoiler before the quote and after it?
I should go to Sam's Club for the pizza.

Does this work?

At this point in time it seems that if a note contains the quote tags in it and then the spoiler is below of it, then the spoiler will not be displayed. You can either place the spoiler above the quote or remove the quote tags.
Also if I am not mistaken, you can only have one set of spoilers in a message.

Putting the spoiler before the quote. Will this work?
I plan to see Star Wars at least one more time for sure.

Trying to do two spoilers in one post. I don't why one would do it through.
It's a Saturday
I wonder if this will work.
I guess I should eat at Mahalo Drive Inn today. BBQ Chicken and Hamburger steak is the special for Saturday.

By the way if anyone else wants to try out the use of the Spoiler tag to get a feel for it, by all means please use this thread to test it out.

Interesting I tried to quote post #14 and it only quoted the new stuff and not the old quote.
Since it's Saturday I will more than likey head over to Mahalo Drive Inn for lunch today. BBQ Chicken and Hamburger Steak is the special for today.

Ohh this is interesting. The text in the spoiler is still intact if you quote it.

Dirty little secert about spoilers in vbulletin.
If you attempt to make a spoiler (using the spoiler tags) and then attempt to view it using the preview mode before you post it, the text within the spoiler will not show up in the preview. It seems to only work after you post your message.
Another followup, even after you post your message and then attempt to edit it and then preview it, the text within the spoiler will not show up.

Why would HiThreads need a spoiler tag?
Because they can?
edit: wow, it worked (and it looks like I'm not the only one testing it.)

The second spoiler should not work.
The first spoiler is:

If you want to preview your spoiler before posting do this:
place an indent tag before the spoiler tag

Need to test spoilers with standard quotes and multiquoting to see what has changed.
The spoiler below is for what I had for breakfast today
Made you look. Didn't have breakfast yet, going to take break soon and get something to eat.
Spoilers still don't come out when you preview it.

One way to use the spoiler tag is to highlight a section of text and then press the icon with the red circle and the red line in it. If you move the pointer over that icon it should say "Wrap [Spoiler] tags around selected text".
You can try it out here in this thread. One warning through when you preview the post the text in the spoiler don't come out so it kind of makes you think that spoilers aren't working. And if you read through this thread there are issues with the Spoilers and the Quotes.

I sure hope folks remember to use the spoiler tag after today when the first episode of "Lost" will be premiered in Waikiki. Everyone pay attention: I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!! I'm happy to wait for the first episode on Wednesday................:D

ohh I was just about to ask you what red icon with the red line in it... but I see that you must first be in the text(reply) box to see it.

As noted earlier in this thread, the spoiler tag doesn't work when it follows quoted text. If you hadn't quoted Helen in your test, it would have worked.
The spoiler tag is a hack, not an official feature, and has various limitations (the quote thing, and not functioning at all in some browsers). But for the most part it serves its purpose.

Helen,
I'm using Safari and #13 didn't work. It seems that spoiler above quote works fine spoiler below doesn't.
And #15 was kind of wonky. By the end you seem to have down pretty good.
