That's on the access road to get to Makapuʻu Lighthouse. What is that building there for, anyway?

Correct! And I have absolutely no idea what it was used for.

Looks like the spring across from Kunawai Park where there once was a place called Mochizuki Teahouse.

I like this guessing game. Where is this?

Hint: photo c. 1939- the building is still there today

I am really enjoying this. Moving there soon; can't wait to see it in realtime.

                        BZZZZZ sorry, wrong answer.
                        Another hint:
Thousands of people pass it every day, really... And it is fairly in the middle of the Honolulu business district.
If it makes you feel any better, I did not recognize this building either even though I was visiting it almost every day.

Kind of looks like this place that I shot recently down Pensacola from King. Across McKinley???

                            I'm still here. Are you?

ding-ding-ding! D'Alani is the first contestant to chime in with the correct answer!

It is indeed the MCC. My daughter was in preschool there in 2006, but I could not recognize it when I saw those pictures from 1939. The car in the foreground is traveling mauka on Pensacola street near where Rycroft would be today.

Mel gets a consolation prize of some sort? Nice photo, by the way. I believe the modern photo is taken from nearly the same place as the old one except Mel was a little more mauka on Pensacola.

I just noticed that there is an existing thread for the picture guessing game in pa'ani.
