Ex islander here, we (the wife two kids and I) moved away in '95 to Reno.

I graduated from Aiea High in '80, and still have some family there.

I found this place quite by accident searching for an ex band mate/friend, as I played at the Jazz Cellar in the late 80s. I did a search on the Jazz Cellar, and there was a thread here somewhere all about the old school nightclubs around Waikiki back in the day. So I thought I'd join in reminiscing

akrauth I was the guitar, and an occasional backup vocal.
We were into the whole 80s metal junk, but I've strayed a bit from that now.
Something about getting a little older I guess.

LOL The Jazz Cellar wasn't really jazz. I got that confused too. I thought I had arrived at the wrong place the first time I went there.
