I am new to this forum and just wanted to ing=troduce myself. My name is Retta and I first went to Hawaii about 15 years ago. It was my reward for quitting smoking. I had to have a really good incentive to give up my cigs.

But I did it and I haven't looked back. I fell in love with Hawaii and so did my husband. We have been back every year since. The only island we haven't visited is Lanai, and I hope to do that this year.

I learned early on to get a miles account with Hawaiian Airlines, otherwise I would not be able to go as often as I do.

Looking forward to lots of great conversations about Hawaii

    Mahalo for reading,

      Re: Aloha

I quit smoking when I was in Hawaii in 1968!

Actually, I continued smoking for about another week or so, then just couldn't continue.

A stage hypnotist programmed me, (7-4-68) and it didn't take effect until I was back in KonTum....

      FWIW: Hawaii saved me.

Thank you Leo and Kaonohi for the warm welcomes! I have to say that quitting was one of the best things I have ever done, on several levels.
