Im not sure either how to post a pic here.. but if u do a search in Webshots with "legal_secretary", you will see pics of me in cuba in Dec. 2004. I have a few more recent ones if you look at "legal_secretary_in_montreal2001" at the Montreal Marathon 2005, which is sept. 2005. I am about 15 lbs heavier now than then but i dont really care.. HELL IM GOING TO HAWAII IN 37 DAYS :d
This pic is of me and my son taken about a year ago at the Forest Park Zoo in Springfield Massachusetts.
Is that a handsome boy or what? Luckily he took after his Mom!
i'm the blondy on the right.. this is in korea.. and this is from my japanese friend's camera.. cooking galbi and drinking OB in a Korean restaurant in Seoul.
sadly the picture is about 5 years old when i was around 30 years old. now i'm 35.. and well.. wow, had no intention of giving out this much information! goatee is gone now.. and got a filipina as a fiance for the last few years now (i was thinking of posting her pic.. but better not). Went back in time to choose this picture.. because for better or worse, Korea has become a big part of my life and galbi and beer and friends sum it up best and no other picture i have sums it up as well.
whenever i get out of Seoul (sheesh spent five-six years here off and on since 1996).. after, i'm moving to Honolulu!
galbi is that raw meat they cook at your table.. its marinated in most often soy sauce. yumm.. once its cooked at your table.. you wrap it in a lettuce leaf.. add garlic, rice, or this typical korean red sauce (not as spicy as the kimchee).. and pop it in your mouth.
DELICIOUS!
Often looks like this.. meat cooking in the middle of the table.. and tons of side-dishes everywhere to throw in your lettuce leaf:
Sometimes you sit on the floor.. sometimes at a table.. but its always awith a grill to cook the meat in the middle:
Hmmm...we have something here called "Kalbi." It's prepared and cooked in a similar fashion. Only it is shortribs. The beef version is thinner as compared with the picture shown. That is some thick meat!
I also enjoy eating merinated meat with lettuce and Ko Chung Sauce or Miso. Yummy. Put rice, meat and sauce...heavenly.
My favorite food is Korean. My favorite dish is Beef Intestine Stew with Tofu. Your pictures made me HUNGRY!!!!
I just looked at the picture again. It' not prepared as Kalbi. Kalbi is BBQ. Galbi looks like it's boiling in it's sauce.
The guy on the far right looks like he's FOBlahlah Boat. .
Chipps, plays bass & uke with a local halau, and mighty tall, too.
The other uke player is Rod, one of the directors of SUPA - grew up on O`ahu but left long ago. Knows hundreds of pop standards from the '40s & '50s, but not too many Hawaiian songs, so we get to teach each other new material. Funny, yeah? The guy from Iowa teaches Hawaiian songs to the guy from Hawai`i...
