One nodda reef fish: Get plenty different kine (at least 15!), they no all belong to da same scientific class, and yet dey all called da same name in Hawaiian.

"Same scientific class" is kinda vague. Do you mean species, genus, family, or what? Unless you mean the actual biological term Class, in which case you're wrong because all the reef fish would be members of the same class, Osteichthyes (the bony fishes).

To be more precise, den, dey get different genus and family but dey all fishies but da kanaka maoli neva know da difference so dey wen call all of these buggahs by the same first name! Sometimes people keep them in fishtanks.

nope. some of the different kinds are bird, saddle, Christmas, old lady...they like living in the rocks where there are lots of waves.

Yeah, da hinalea. Amazing how many different kine get swimming in the waters off da 'aina. Plenty people keep them in aquariums, too.
