    That's okay!

To follow your line, I offer the obscure "Edward Bear," a trio who sang LAST SONG (1973).

Anita Bryant was second runner-up in the 1958 Miss America pageant. Also a singer with four Billboard Top 40 hits: PAPER ROSES (#5); MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD (#10), her highest as top-tenners in 1960. Her anti-gay rights crusade sullied her reputation.

ANITA GILLETTE - actress ("Bob, Carol, Ted, and Alice"); appeared on game shows (e.g. "Match Game) as a panelist.

Rules? There are rules here? Made to be shattered, I say...

Kumamoto? (Oh wait, we're not guessing Moto's name here, are we? But I did link it to "bear.")

Through the passage of time, Paul Bryant did evolve into "Bear Bryant!" Sort of like applying "common law" after a certain number of years of usage.

Maybe he could have, but didn't take the steps as did Eldredge "Tiger" Woods or Lloyd "World Be" Free in making legal name changes.

Continuing on with the chain ..........

William "Doc" Hill - Hawaii state senator from the Big Island during the '50s and '60s.
