Annie Mililani Archer (1870 - 1942)

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Annie Archer was active in New York City and Tucson and Oracle, Arizona where she painted desert landscapes and native life.

And I did google this but could not find the answer. Would someone happen to know the meaning of the name Haunani. I think it is so beautiful I was just curious.

Hahahahahahahyuk! I dare you to say it to her face. Honestly, I was intimidated when I met the Trasks at UH, 'cause it was a couple days after I read an article that one of them wrote--can't remember who--where they considered Asians just as haole as Caucasians. It hinted that they wanted Asians to return to their homelands. Whew, muy uncomfortable.
