But wouldn't that 'work' only IF your birth dad or any of his family or close friends were still in your area? You mentioned he was from Hawaii. IMHO, a newspaper ad in Florida, 21 years later, was a huge long shot. Still, I wish you all the luck in the world. You need to fill that void of not knowing.

My mom said he had friends here in florida. So I think she was hoping that maybe a friend would see the ad or him.
