  • Bobby Ingano's new CD

Three time grammy winner, steel guitarist Bobby Ingano has just released his third and possibly finest Hawaiian steel guitar effort, called Steel'n Love.
It's not going to be available in stores but you can contact his producer, Mark - steelnlove@gmail.com
With shipping it's $18 per, or $28 for two.

I was fortunate to be invited to hang while the recordings were done in Bobby's parlour at home over a month's time and it's a testament to his talents and modern tech that such quality can be had in a casual setting, which helped capture the awesome laid back sound he naturally has without the hassles that come with high priced studio work.
However, this one has a few surprises in the overall languid feel with two raunchy blues numbers included. The Ingano brothers have long been known as local bluesmen and here they finally get to permanently showcase that side of their abilities. It was amazing to see Ralph come home after a hard day's work, suddenly get the word to grab his Strat and lay down a lead solo over one track, and then pull off such a hottie in one take after listening to the backing only once thru!

Another bonus is there are NO VOCALS, and most of the instrumentation was all Bobby. Mark added some percussion, uke, and a bit of bass/guitar after the fact and ultimately did a superb job at the recording console and placing minimal effects to enhance the sound.
This CD is an eclectic batch, covering a lot of ground and also includes three new tunes written by Bobby, all in the smooth toneful and tasty style he's well known for by all of Hawaii's top performers and his fans.

If there's only one local CD on your wish list to be bought this year, make it Steel'n Love. You'll be glad you did!
