  • What happened to KRTR AM 650?

KRTR AM 650 is off the air right now. Does anyone have a clue what happened to the station? I hope it returns asap.

    Perhaps the situation is weather-related?
You could call the station and ask ...

Wow, that old folksinger has a show?!? (He was in The Kingston Trio for 7 years back in the '60s. See his website at http://www.chillywinds.com/ )
Funny coincidence: there's a comedian named JON Stewart who has a "news" show on now too! Hosted the Oscar awards show last week, even.

        (Paybacks are hell, brah! )

Lika, I was going to "see" and "raise" your John Stewart with one of my own -- the guy who sang "Gold" with Stevie Nicks ... my Google search revealed (on the site you cited), that he's the same guy as the Kingston Trio dude YOU mentioned.

So much for my atttempted one-upsmanship.

It gets worse: he's the same guy who wrote "Daydream Believer" for The Monkees.

Erika dear, the day you need to one-up anybody will be the day it snows in Lahaina.

By the way, nice photos of ya in yesterday's MidWeek Weekend, from the Star-Bulletin party.

Lika -- you are far too kind.

So to get this item back on topic.... whenver KRTR AM goes off the air, check also 940 AM KKNE... it seems when one is off so is the other. Possibly shared facilities most likely.
                  I'm still here. Are you?

While AM 650 was off the air last Thursday morning, AM 940 was still on the air. AM 650 is back on the air now.
