Names that I had not thought of for some time:

Bruce Voss, Channel 2 (went off to law school)
Chris Parsons, Channel 2 also? (went off to seminary and is an ordained Episcopal minister, but is also active as a PR strategist, among other things)

What about Russell Shimooka? He went to KARE 11 Minneapolis for a while and I think went back home right?

In the years since he left KHON, Chris spent a big chunk of his time working for Jeremy Harris, both as campaign spokesperson and deputy corporation counsel.

I believe he's now on staff at Becker Communications.

Apologize if any of these are repeated:

1982 KITV= Kelly Dean, Chris Casey, Alan Loflin

1970's KHON: Al Allen, Scott Shirai, Ken Wilson (sports)

Al Allen did the "On the Move" segments flying around to parts of the island doing various reports for KHON. He tragically died in a plane crash he piloted in 1973.

You know, it's odd to think about but up here, a majority of the news people have a career in real estate as well, there is this one old timer on the ABC affiliate up here that is also an ordained Minister.

We've had some local Honolulu tv people move into the ministry, Dan Chun and Steve Braham off the top of my head.

And, as also mentioned previously, Chris Parsons.

                              Uh, former?

I'm one of his constituents (who receives the newsletter!) and he easily won re-election last year.
                              Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only

Scott Shirai moved to the mainland. He had been with HECO.

Ken Wilson is back at KHON and also does a radio sports talk show on ESPN 1420. Primarily baseball. Also runs Mama's Island Pizza in Kailua.
