I'm not sure if she was mentioned or not, but Lisa Clark from KITV (and Rap's wife) should get recognized.

Also, technically, I guess Cec Heftel himself could be considered a "newscaster" due to his face time on programs like KGMB's version of Crossfire that aired until the early 70's.

Leesa Clark lives in Tennessee now producing with her husband, Rich Stone.

Heftel, Bob Berger, Duane Harm, etc. all delivered on-air editorials during the late 60's and into the 70's usually at the conclusion of the newscast. "Crossfire" also had John Kernell and Doug Carlson.

Anyone know whatever happened to former KITV news anchor Warren Moran?

Please contact me if you have any leads.

Watched this last night at 6:30. I think they did a very nice job with the special (kudos to Stacy for her job hosting!), and it made me wish that I'd had the pleasure of knowing and working with Bob Sevey.

It's shame that so much of what he worked and stood for doesn't exist any more. I don't think viewing audiences today know what they're missing, and the corporations which are running the industry today don't realize what they're killing.

I think it's a shame that we honor these men Keiter and Sevey in a 20 minute infomercial. I expected to see a lot more than just these, like more talking rather than spots that made them go downhill, case in point was that all people of my generation and the ones after me will not only know that Bob Sevey was a stickler for quoting "the big show" but that he was some news guy.

Personally for me, I look at it like this. If neither station did a tribute of some kind then it would be a tremendous oversight. I'm so glad that they did give them both a special, two great men I both knew and respected. I'd welcome a small tribute to Barbara Marshall's work in local television too.

Not sure why the headline refers to BJ Sams as a "radio vet," when he was a TV anchor here. From yesterday's Star Bulletin:
