Re: Weiner Dog
Elliot Spitzer, gov of New York, a strong advocate of banking & securities regulation and on track to head the SEC--how differently things would have been handled regarding the oh so costly mortgage meltdown if he had been in charge! Nailed for hooking up with a hooker.
Its losing sight of the big objective, good efficient government, adequate protection of the public interest, and concentrating on the truly trivial aspects of personal private lifestyle. Why? Well its just such a good way of removing from power people who might prove inconvenient for the thieves who are trying to steal everything. Look, look, everybody! Don't pay attention to me, stealing your life savings, there is a nasty man over there (who is trying to police my thieving) who is doing something naughty with his wee wee, lets hound him out of office and replace him with a nice docile ineffectual turd who will let me continue stealing. And the public is fine with this. It gets so obvious, so repetitive, but the public eats it up every time.
