Those of you who have already made up your mind, you can ignore this posting (noone is gonna change your mind, either way!). But for the 10% of you who are, according to the polls, undecided, take a look at this article that originally appeared in The Guardian UK (it was commissioned by the Italian newspaper, La Republica).
It's a very thoughtful exchange of letters between Arthur Schlesinger, who was in JF Kennedy's cabinet, and Timothy Garton Ash, a British political writer. Schlesinger, in his letter, beseeches the Europeans not to give up on America; we are a little sidetracked right now by the policies of the current administration. Ash replies that Europe will never forget what America has stood for in the past, but that in acting in strength now, America has not acted wisely.
Pretty good reading, and certainly thought-provoking.
