Check out the above links. The menehune seem to have been a real people who were the first inhabitants of the Hawaiian islands. They were displaced and driven north by later arriving invaders who now call themselves native. Artifacts left by these people have been found on Necker, one of the northern islands in the Hawaiian archipelago. The Hawaiians at the time of contact had no knowledge of Necker.

I found this clown who obviously read this thread and posted on Craig's list trying to make a political statement.

I thought Craigslist was kinda an EBay of sorts. Supposed to be selling something, right?

Isn't it "funny" how we can get sooo far off the thread topic. All I was asking for was what sort of stories, fiction or non, along with any biological evidence, present day or past, that anyone would like to share concerning the little peoples of the world. Menehune and the like. Paul had the best post to date.

Perhaps. But it's a comment that I'm trying not to make a comment. As for little people, that's who wealthy landlady Leona Helmsley, the "Queen of Mean", said taxes were for. (To be fair, she had actually said it was her husband and the "little people" that pay taxes, but she still ticked off plenty of New Yorkers all the same. She's an idiot.)
