Microsoft Live Mail is basically their replacement for Hotmail, right? Full of Ajax-y interface goodness? It's their answer to Gmail, I'd imagine, and if it's coupled well with Outlook/Outlook Express, I'm pretty sure they'll give Google a good fight.
Since I posted last August, I've definitely fallen completely into the Gmail camp. I check it most often. I still have my "main" addresses on my own domain, for important correspondence, but most conversations now flow through the hungry maw of Google.
I'm also happy that UH has so far let me hold onto my account there. Not counting a long-forgotten all-digits Compuserve account, it's my oldest e-mail inbox. It mostly overflows with spam until I remember to clear it out, but every so often an old contact will reach me there.
