I use Google Photos for backup/storage of all my personal pics and then I use Flickr for public pics....works good for me.

I use smugmug. It's super easy to upload pics, but it costs money. I couldn't get around the white background on Flickr, but I think the community aspect is greater.

I vote for smugmug...it makes my pics look nicer, and I enjoy the features.

Flickr has created an email submission for photos.
I don't like it and am looking for a new one.

Things important to me are...
1) Photo storage for HTML usage in web page building.
2) Ease of uploading photos to the site.

honestly i don't like flickr either.

Are you looking at free sites only or is okay to put sites that charge a fee to store your photos?

You said you are unhappy with using Flickr, are you aware that you can upload photos to Flickr via the web?
