Ad-aware no new updates lately?

Has anyone noticed this? I thought mine was corrupted so I uninstalled and reinstalled a fresh download but even that had no updates available. This has been going on for the last 2-days which is unusual for Lavasoft.

Anyone else using Ad-Aware seen this problem?

I just updated mine, but I don't do it every day so I dunno if it would have updated if I had been updating every day.

If I remember, it updated when I ran a scan a few days back.

Maybe its quiet time in the spyware biz?

I've been using Windows Defender (the new name for the Microsoft Antispyware beta) and hadn't really noticed.

I think something's up with Lavasoft because it's not like them to go this long without an update. May 9th is the last update for me too.

No. It gets very good reviews, but it costs $30.

Not being free doesn't automatically make it a bad choice, of course, as some folks are happy to pay for a good product, or good support. But I'm certainly a fan of free stuff, and Ad Aware was my first (but not only) choice when working on the Windows side of things. Sure hope nothing's wrong.

No word on the Lavasoft blog, and haven't found much chatter out there. Maybe they're putting the finishing touches on Ad-Aware 2006 (in beta)?

I'm on the Smart Computing forum and posted an inquiry there. As of today Lavasoft did in fact present the latest definitions. I use both Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy and when used in tandom, they work very well.

Both are free and both work.

I use Ad-Aware. However, I am registered with versiontracker.com. This is free and sends a daily email which lists all (!) software which has
released upgrades and changes each day. The email contains a link
to the site to access each update to the program (commercial, shareware and freeware).
This allows me to be informed of ANY updates. It has also introduced to
many programs that I had been aware of. Just a tip.
