i heard it isnt that bad, but the crippling DRM makes the 'social' aspect (3 plays or 3 days?) and unable to share that same shared song again isnt very socialable.

It's a Microsoft product...pretty soon there will be a hack for it and you'll be able to play virtually anything on it anyway...it's the MS way.
