Actually no, I'm not out of my mind.
According to most sources I've researched, Hawaii is in the bottom 25% for property taxes collected per capita.
This site says 44th.

Either way, it is common knowledge that while Hawaii is one of if not the worst tax state in the country, property taxes are relatively low. This in a state where property is a huge problem.
Back to my question, why?
If this discussion with all these facts and things are too difficult Konaguy, there are other threads on this site that are a little easier to follow.
