What about these other SPAM wanna-bes? TREET (Aemour) and TEMPT (Dubuque). Any other challengers to Hormel?

I swear, if PETA going to scold me for eating spam musubi (not necessarily SPAM), I might become a PETA serial killer.

SPAM = Sees PETA As Morons.

Occasionally Marukai puts that slicer on sale for $2.79. Even sweeter!

Personally, I wouldn't buy one unless I were in the business of selling SPAM Musubi. Too much of a "unitasker". A good ole' knife works perfectly fine.

hey...not bad. Make it out of koa or something and add some carving. Sounds like an idea to me!

if you have the plastic/acrylic type makers, try dipping them in water first then placing the rice in the mold. it worked every time when i had my okazuya. and, that goes for making musubi by hand as well. keep the hands wet.

The acrylic (not plastic) spam musubi maker i bought from longs has lasted me close to 8 years...and it's still going! I just saw some at longs the other weekend and thought of getting another one...but I got distracted by the huge amount of people hording dasani water (value book 2cases for $9!!)

I have a plastic musubi maker (triangle shape) for regular musubis that has lasted forver too. I bought that from longs too.

I ended up getting a plastic double musubi maker at Don Quijote; cost about $10.00. (The slicer was closer to $20.00, so I decided to use my knife.)

Now,now, Holonalu. Calm down, we are just using the immersion technique for your healing process.

PM, that's a great idea to use other meats. Why didn't I think of that?
