Here's one of my faves;
Heat coconut milk w/brown sugar while frying a flattened hunk of well buttered and sprinkled w/pumkin pie spice (good) Port. sweet bread. Combine in a bowl, wear a big bib.
I didn't put amounts because I make as much as possible.
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so I'm always looking for good places and boy did I find one today! It's called Sweet E's and is back in that little Kilohana Square shopping area at 1016 Kapahulu (a couple blocks mauka of Leonard's Bakery and on the opposite side of the street). Open daily from 7am to 3:30pm. Breakfast served the whole time and lunch served after 11am. From the outside it looks like a nice little "hole in the wall" cafe, but the inside is really sweet. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Everything is fresh cooked so it takes a few minutes longer than most places but DAMN it's good!!!!
I'll be there often whenever I'm town side.
