Re: KC Drive Inn closing down

There are places you go to just because they are there, because the location and the history is a big part of the appeal. I always thought K.C. Drive Inn was one of those places. I was never really impressed with the food, and twice watched as bugs scurried across tables... but it was K.C. Drive Inn, and that was okay.

The old Kelly's on Nimitz was like that, too. My bowl of soup would end up "sprinked" with termites, but c'mon, it's character!

Wisteria, Columbia Inn... a lot of those places have a warm place in my heart, but in many ways, sometimes it makes sense, that it was perhaps time to say goodbye.

I should have stocked up on their chili waffle dogs.. ugh, I wonder if I can try to make it at home. But what I'll really miss is their Ono Ono Shakes! =(
