Very nice big house salad with mixed yuppie greens, cannelini beans and some kind of rosemary vinegrette, a Ciro pizza (thin crust, fresh tomato sauce, prosciuto, parmesan grana, mushrooms, basil, fresh mozzarella), and half a cannoli for dessert from Tutta Bella.

Went back to Zen Sushi at 1111 Bishop Street, site of Scrivener's recent downtown lunch. I had the teriyaki donburi (teri beef and mushrooms, egg on rice, topped with kamaboko and furikake) and miso soup for $5.
This week is the official grand opening, which meant a free gift: a piggybank to commemorate the Year or the Golden Pig... apparently a special year in the Chinese zodiac that comes around every 600 years. Included a $1 rebate in quarters.
So, a Korean guy taking on Japanese cuisine, celebrating a Chinese tradition. I love Hawaii!
