  • Average Square Footage of Oahu homes

Wow...being here reminds me of my old house in Japan. Space is definitely limited and ~costly~! So...what's the average square footage of homes on Oahu?

If it's a standard three bedroom/two bathroom home, you'd probably be looking anywhere from 1100 to 1900 square feet. I'd say 1200 would be about typical.

The typical bedroom (not master) would be a shoebox around 10 x 10.
Life is what you make of it...so please read the instructions carefully.

Zero-lot line homes are the ones I'd avoid. Unless you enjoy hearing everything your neighbor does, which could either be entertaining or offensive. lol

These are the type you'll typically find in new Ewa Beach developments. Zero Lot line homes are basically your neighbor's home partially functioning as a fence to your home.

My friend sold his zero-lot property a few years ago for a truly detached home.

My Waikiki condo is just under 700 square feet, and plenty of space for the two of us, but I'll need more space when/if we have children.
