Re: What Are You Thankful For?

Right now, I'm just thankful that my boss is in the hospital recovering after he got into a car accident. He said that his leg broke and also a few ribs, but he'll be out for a few days.

The weird thing, was that he sent me an email message while in the hospital, so I'll have to remember that if I go there one day.
How'd I get so white and nerdy?

Bumping this thread for an early start on being thankful this year.

I am thankful for life and a chance to continue to learn and live. I am thankful for the people in and around my life, and their influence.

            I am thankful for:

            -Modern meds
-God giving me the strength I needed these past few years, along with a good man who stayed by my side, even if we don't always see eye-to-eye on everything
-The people who didn't give up or let go of me this past year
            -My eyesight and hearing
-All the things I've learned in the last 12 months
-The necessities we were able to have, such as food and a house, and the ability to have some of the small luxuries we wanted
-The small things that get me through the day, like Chapstick, cold Diet 7-Up, coming home and hearing puppy paws skittering on the wood floor

Can't think of anything creative this time

Re: What Are You Thankful For?

Every morning when I wake up and every evening when I go to bed when there is an "absence" of pain. Isn't is strange how we don't always treasure the days we feel GOOD, but instead just notice the days we feel bad? I try to make a conscious effort to think about how I feel during the day, and to be thankful that most of the time I feel well. Sort of the "glass half full" theory!
Now run along and play, but don’t get into trouble.

Re: What Are You Thankful For?

I'm thankful first that there's a thread were I can express my thankfulness.

I'm thankful for LIFE and EXPERIENCE. That's bad and good....

I'm thankful for communication - especially among HT'er's, even Frankie, for we learn much from our friends, but more from our adversaries.

                  I am thankful for:
                  1: Relatively good health
2: A roof over my head
                  3: No financial stress
4: Computer contact with caring HT'ers
5: The other things I can take care of......

I would like to be a resource for those in trouble, as much as I can, and know that others will be there to be a resource for me.
