A friend who used to work for NASA sent this link to an utterly astounding video of the launch of space-shuttle Atlantis STS 135, using angles from dozens of cameras.

Footage assembled by the imagery team that is responsible for documenting the preparation of the vehicle, the launch and through the rendezvous pitch maneuver as it approaches the International Space Station (ISS). They have dozens of cameras located on the vehicle, pad, and elsewhere for analysis for debris damage or other factors that might cause a problem.

"Best watched on a big screen and with loud speakers," says my friend, and I agree - I was captivated by the entire piece last evening.

This is a web 'photo' find!
I think this sculpture is really cool!
The words I removed were religion related, but I think the "Trapped to Free" feeling of it will be different for everyone. Enjoy!
