A recent Green Harvest raid on Kauai resulted in seizing 1800 pot plants. But what caught my interest ... and alarm!... was that

"Authorities also seized two foothold traps from a grow site. The spring-loaded device cause significant injury to the lower leg when stepped on."

The whole pro-con Green Harvest/pot discussion is one thing, but having foothold traps escalates it into a whole other realm.

Mmm, yeah, I recall lots of "don't go over there, get traps" warnings. Never saw one for real before though! I always wondered if it was all talk. Guess not.
