Not much. The gang at the office threw a surprise party for ... Uncle Charlie, our retiree volunteer helper. They proclaimed it Uncle Charlie Day and we celebrated his day.

Oh, me? Nah, they didn't even know about me! All good. I'm halfway to 110! Can you say Midlife Crisis, baby!

I humbly submit the hypothesis that I must be one helluva powerful person. After all, I got Beijing to start the Olympic Games on my birthday and I got presidental candidate Barack Obama to visit our state on my birthday.

and, LN, you got obama to set-up house right in our own backyards. lol. apparently, he's staying at oprah's house on/near kaimalino. lot of patrol cars in the area and helicopters were flying around starting around 1pm. supposedly, warnings for sharks and jellyfish were posted so that beachgoers would stay out of the water. not likely.

last night, there were 3 teenage boys involved in a fight across the street from our house. fists flying, lots of yelling. quickly we called 911 and it took app. 10-15 minutes before any response. by that time, the truck had driven away and the other two teens were walking down a side street. neighbors and i finally saw the cops coming and directed them to the teens. an ambulance followed app. 20 minutes later. the one kid was pounding the heck out of his "friend's" truck and possibly injured his hand. he also left with a gash in his head according to a witness.
