MySpace? Nope, I've got real-life friends I don't even see enough -- and too many online habits as it is.

Based on my avatar photo I guess I've really, REALLY lived!

Late last year I met a very nice lady, my age, who works at Kapiolani Women's Center. She's a travelling mammographer and spends 3-6 months at a time in different areas of the country. This was her first trip to Hawaii. She told me last week-end that Hawaii has, by far, the youngest looking women for their ages than any other state she's lived in. And, yes, she meant from the neck up!

The fact that a City Deputy Prosecutor has a MySpace profile isn't all that remarkable -- for all the bad press MySpace gets, lots of people are members (musicians, teachers, doctors, lawyers, politicians, etc.). But the fact that Sanada's is reportedly as irreverent as that, especially given the clear attention rightfully paid to maintaining an appropriate public image in other venues, is quite curious.

It doesn't seem that curious to me. MySpace pages tend to be entirely personal and not at all work-related. And you can't control what kind of comments your friends post on your page -- although of course you can delete them if you really don't like 'em. Sanada looks to be in his mid-20s; I'm gonna guess that he's still single, and that he likes to party with his friends. That's completely normal and unremarkable. I don't see a work-related problem with that.
