Did anybody catch this piece on KITV News last night?
Go to that link and click on Wave Sweeps Child Into Pipe, Under Road. Amazing. Their film crew was on the north shore shooting the huge waves and just happened to catch a wave knocking the kid down, through a drainage pipe under Kam Highway, and out the mauka side of the road. Great stuff, especially with the happy ending.
A good lesson for tourists (and a good reminder for the rest of us too) to be careful when the big waves are happening.

I don't know if anyone else has been following this series, but I'm enjoying it far too much. It's called "You Suck at Photoshop," and it is ostensibly a series of tutorials on using the beloved photo editing program. But, as you'll find, there's a whole lot more going on.

Watch them in order... and, um, don't watch them in front of your kids, or if you've got a sensitive constitution. Trust me, though, they're hilarious. And you might actually learn something about Photoshop in the process!

While I didn't actually run (or walk) in yesterday's Great Aloha Run, I did go down to the starting line early in the morning to document the always spectacular start of this 24th annual event.
