Aloha Kakou! I was wondering what languages do you speak? I speak English, Chinese, and Hawaiian (took Hawaiian 101, 102, 201, and 202) in college. It would be awesome to converse with someone who took Hawaiian and write to them in 'olelo Hawai'i. If interested please email me.

Re: what languages do you speak?
English, Spanish, Italian, Sign, Japanese - adequately fluent after any length of immersion.
French, German - enough to get into a fight, or order lunch.
We teach our daughter Sign and Spanish everyday. She's 5 now, and real good at Sign.FutureNewsNetwork.com

I speak of course my native language of Yoruba, Pidgin english.... not the Hawaiian one... but very very close...I can understand most of the Hawaiian when I hear it because of this...... some French from having it for several years in school.Tayo

Re: what languages do you speak?
I took seven years combined of French language instruction in high school and college and spent 3 months abroad in Angers, France when I studied at the Université Catholique de l'Ouest.
Mom is Ilocano and while I can't speak it fluently (I struggle), I definitely understand everything when spoken to me.
Same goes with `Olelo Hawai`i. I understand enough through my experience with the hula and working in the lo`i and having 234029384203947 friends enrolled in the HWST/Language program.Tessie, "Nuf Ced" McGreevey shouted
We're not here to mess around
Boston, you know we love you madly
Hear the crowd roar to your sound
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you
You know we couldn't live without you
Tessie, you are the only only only

Re: what languages do you speak?
English, Engrish (what?), and a decent amount of Japanese. The only Hawaiian I know was what I learned in elementary school (I still know the color song, woooo). And I guess if you actually count it, I speak Al Bhed

Re: what languages do you speak?
Fluently: English, Texan (heh!)
Enough to survive (maybe): Japanese
Smattering of, increasing: 'Olelo Hawai'i
Took in college 4 semesters but can't remember a bit of now: Latin
Well, that last is not 100% true. It has helped me often with spelling and grammar in English, of all things...
