It sounds like your friend has a sleep disorder. Has she been diagnosed in a sleep lab? I ask out of experience and recommend that anyone with ongoing sleep issues ask (or beg!) their docs to send them to a sleep specialist. I have a sleep disorder diagnosed after complaining to my doc for at least 8 years that I wish I could get just one night's worth of great sleep. Turned out I never got below stage 2 sleep and averaged 17 wake-ups an HOUR! The majority of those I wasn't aware of, of course, but it sure proved to me that I wasn't imagining a problem! It was real.

Be happy that your sleepless nights are only occasional. That happens to everyone for a variety of reasons.

    I am soooo tired!!.

my eyes hurt, Soo sleepy!!. so I go to bed, to close my eyes, & nothing
    happens
, to top that off, my hips & lower back hurts, too =( .

So, I took an advil to help with the pain, & hopefully my sleepiness, & tiredness will follow suit!!.

    Gawd!!.

I hate being in that state of mind where I am soo tired but can't even sleep !!.

Does this happen to you?? if so what do you do about that??

Occationally that happens to me, on certain nights, I actually able to sleep ok, & other nights I can't!!. WTF!!.

I have a friend who is worse. she could never get a good nights sleep ever!!.

leo, you know what they say about unsolicited advice, and you also know what they say about the vagueness of non-verbal cues. i will leave it at that.

my pet peeve today is mysterious funny tummy. it's not quite the flu (thank god) but it's annoying enough.

hey, people who make the deliberate decision to stand up for what's right have to be able to accept the possible consequences. this is my conviction, and you can wink at it all you want--just don't wink so hard when you're driving. you might cause an accident.

side note-i should correct a previous statement i made about there being only two things in this world that tick me off to this level. there are two things, and in a way, they're related: domestic violence, and the slow but definite trend towards reducing women's reproductive rights.
