the best part of today???

i've had 2 bestest things that happened to me today,

the first was that i was able to spend some quality time with both daughter and my dog

the 2nd bestest thing: continuing to beat Kidney Disease, i was once classified as ESRD. was told that i would have to be on dialysis for the rest of my life and well here i am a year later dialysis free, my labs just came back today and so far so good, creatinine levels are going down i was once at 8 now am at 2.1 ask a lab tech or a dr to explain what those #'s mean. or maybe WORN could input here.. i was able to stick my tongue out at my doctor...LOL

Reviving this thread, because it's always nice to read good, positive things.

For me, the best part of today was taking the boat out to the sandbar for a few hours. Peace and quiet, snorkeling in warm, clear water, kicking back reading a book, seeing several friends out there... sweet!
And the best of tomorrow will be that it'll be the first day of a one-week vacation, and I haven't taken a single vacation day in well over three years.
Woo-HOO!!!

I got back in the water for the 2nd time in a month, man it felt GREAT! That, AND GOOD SURF! Today was just what I needed, mentally and physically. SO good to get out of Honolulu. The whole day was the best part

A wonderful four-day Thanksgiving weekend, including:
- dinner with my sister and her family on Thursday
- relaxation (and catching up on video watching) all day Friday
- kanikapila Saturday night
- discovering a new neighborhood breakfast joint Sunday morning
- hula show Sunday afternoon
- dinner with two comedians from Hawai`i Sunday night

Kermet Apio, along with Paul Ogata. Two of the nicest performers on the planet - that is not an exaggeration. Kermet brought his wife and two liddle kids, all of them charming.
