the last line of this AP piece on the honadv's website REALLY ticks me off.

a oozy, itchy, flaming pox on the right cheek of paul newberry. i don't care which right cheek as long as it hurts and lingers a long, long time.

superbia (pride), avaritia (greed), luxuria (lust), invidia (envy), gula (gluttony), ira (wrath) & acedia (sloth)--the seven deadly sins.

"when you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people i deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly..."--meditations, marcus aurelius (make sure you read the rest of the passage, ya lazy wankers!)

You can't fault him for being brutally honest.

KHON says it was a fiber failure in East Oahu that caused the loss of signal on Oceanic in areas of Oahu and the Neighbor Islands.

Absolutely! Just being the only undefeated team in the nation and having made it to the Sugar Bowl is something to be terribly proud of.

The Warriors are still my Heroes.

                Did the Dash said "SuperDoom"?

Interesting he noted that Bess and Grice-Mullin may leave UH for NFL. May.

Yep. Manolo Morales's face said it all.

And they turned the lights out on him. LOL!!!

Honest? What's so honest about a writer injecting his personal opinion in what's supposed to be a straight sports recap? Unless of course you share his opinion that UH is overrated. *raises eyebrow*

The Advertiser would be best advised to keep opinion pieces confined to their editorial pages.

Okay. So, the fact he conceded to Bulldogs' fans' argument is over the line.

But you have to face the fact that UGA were well-prepared for this game. They were prepared for our run-n-shoot offense. They were prepared for our 4-3 defense. They were prepared. We didn't get to show the rest of the world how great our offense team is ... until Tyler got on the field.

Right now I'm trying to let go of my grudge against #78 for not protecting Colt when he got slammed on an UGA blitz that converted into a TD.

As for the Defense. Come on! We already know that UGA favor their running game as much as we favor our passing game. Where was the gameplan for that?

Actually, the entire O-line was at fault...especially whoever is #65. But that's what Hawaii pays in going with the run and shoot--small running backs in the backfield to help out on missed assignments and picking up the blitz. But oh well, the season's over.

                        Hurray for basketball!

i don't think that any UH fan isn't facing that fact at this moment. hey, we're all disappointed and maybe a little bit angry, too. but we--HAWAII FANS--don't need to be pissing on open wounds. the rabid bulldog fans are doing enough of that on their own.

as for the piece i pointed to, even ESPN had the grace to exclude the "overrated" line. who the heck is so sloshed at honadv that they didn't do the same??!!

Maybe because he is sloshed. I'd be deep down in a bottle too, if I had one here that is stronger than beer.

Look, at least we got our feet wet (yeah, I'm thinking the Superdome sod is, which is why I see our receiving corp keep slipping) in a BCS-stamped bowl game (can't understand why the Hawai'i Bowl can be stamped too). We have no choice but to get into next year's BCS and spoil them mainlanders all over again.
