My response is not sports-related, but still goes along with the topic a bit...sorry for digressing.

Hurricane Latonya? Hurricane names raise a warning... Heard Mandy on Kumu this morning referring to this, though it seems this was back from 2003. This Democratic Rep. said that African-American names should be included in the hurricane names. Frank Shaner was pretty funny about it, saying, "Why not have local names too...like really local names, like Bla-lah....'Bla-lah is 300 miles off the Hawaiian chain and closing in...' or maybe Hurricane Tita..."

I'm kinda enjoying Frank ever since you-know-who left the station.

but... those are not "local names", per se. they are titles.
descriptive. group definers. not names.
